Best games for ultrawide 21:9 monitors??

I'm buying a LG 34um95 monitor this week. GPU is XFX R9 390. Ori and the blind forest, Unravel... these seem like they'll be awesome in ultrawide... Any space/ flying shooters you know of? I think Ace combat is supposed to be good... Starcraft 2 isn't available in ultrawide which blows... Throw some games at me! I'll check em out!! Thanks!!

I'd give it a try, it's free to play. Battles are on a much larger scale compared to Halo and require strategy. The games does have a steep learning curve though.

Congrats. Having used the format for a year some that look great or breathtaking for me:

  • Witcher 3
  • Crysis 3
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • Elite Dangerous (really amazing on this format)
  • Far Cry 3/4
  • Assasins creed unity / Syndicate (meh as games)
  • Cities Skyline
  • Metal gear Solid Phantom pain once you install an unoffical patch as it does not support it out the box :/

I bought witcher 3 for my roommates ps4, started it and never fully got into it because of work etc. Never went back to it. But i could tell it would be insane on pc. So thatll be sweet! City skyline? Holy crap you have to be an engineer for that hahaha. Looks cool though. Elite dangerous looks massive! Thats the kind of game im looking for but just a bit less... massive? More emphasis on the killing eachother part but still maintain a sense of reaism the way that game does...Really cool game though, id never seen that before. Thx!

Try Battlefield 4. on a 390 that game on max is gorgeous, cant even imagine it on a 21:9 ratio

Got the monitor and i have all the parts except the pwr supply. Ive been waiting for over a week for the pwr supply alone!! The longest week ever!!! I cant wait to see how battlefield turns out... it seems like all first person shooter get a bit stretched out on 21:9 though...

Looks a bit stretched... but the game itself looks sweet. Can't wait to fire it up
