3D/VFX workstation help

In need of an upgrade..it's been a few years. Would like to get some options. Looking to build a machine capable of rendering and running 3D/compositing softwares. Primarily, Maya (VRay), Mari, Nuke, Cinema 4D and Adobe Suite.

Budget is ~2k. California. Peripherals: I already have 2 monitors, mouse and keyboard but maybe include monitors (excluding the budget).. to see what are some new choices. Operating System: Currently have Windows 7, but open to changing.

Thank you so much in advance!

I do recommended a quad-channel C for high 3d/4k Rendering/export..

A 30-bit AMD Firepro / NVIDIA QUADRO OpenCL-based Accelerated Parallel Processing GPUs would be much better than Enthusiast GeForce / Radeon GPUs

Official Intel Video Workstation whitepaper..

http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/guides/workstation-adobe-4k-guide.pdf

My GPU recommendation is the AMD FirePro W5100 -- Best of both the 2d/3d Price-to-performance ratio... The 40-lane 5930K about optimum for the price point...

You need two displays, not one. The first is for the computer and it's GUI, and it's quality is less critical. Any of your older monitors would suffice. The second is for full screen playback of the video from a device like those offered by Blackmagic and AJA. This second display is the one where image quality matters. Probably a 4K Monitor like the Eizo CG series..

But it all depends on how much you want to spend & if u really NEED a 30-bit - 95% RGB, 4K monitor.. Even a lesser monitor would do the job but it really helps to preview how the output video signal display rate of 24 frames per second so the film can be edited as it was meant to be viewed, with quick access to several broadcast-standard color modes: Rec. 709, EBU, SMPTE-C, and DC,I and also display safe area markers and signal information..

Thank you The OfficialCzek, for your time. Looks great. I'm curious to see a list with a budget around 1500-1700?

Thank you again!
