I really like this build but i feel like i can achieve the same performance for a little bit less. I'm fairly new to building, this is my first build.. This PC will be used for gaming and visualization programs, thanks.

I like this a lot but, I'm still on the edge of getting an i5 6600 instead of a i7 6700 and get a GTX 980 Ti vs just the GTX 980. What do you think?

If it suits your needs, then it's fine, go for it.

Depends on whether you'll do more visual programming or gaming. If you're gonna do more gaming, get the i5-6600k and 980ti. If you're doing more visual programming, get the i7-6700k and 980.
