Will it fit?

Zotac 980 Ti AMP! Extreme on Phanteks Evolv ITX case.

I can't seem to find anyone who has built something similar, so I'm clueless whether it will fit or not. I've also tried putting it together at the "Start New Part List", but it didn't prompt any incompatibility issues. So I'm guessing it will.. fit?

If it does, I'm pretty sure it'll be a very tight fit. Will that be bad for the GPU itself? I'll be using the Noctua NH-D15 as a CPU cooler though, and will be using the free 200mm fan included with the case. Will that provide good enough airflow for the system?

Thanks!

Yes...

Well.. its defintely a better idea to get a watercooled card for this case. Ventilation is limited and it will run hotter so the watercooled version will work cooler.

I would definitely get the S version which has an asymmetrical shape and increases compatibility with mini itx motherboards and many others. It performs exactly the same as the D15 with one fan (you can still add a second fan to the S version).

Hello! Apparently, I only have a few choices of 980 Ti available locally, and the water-cooled EVGA is not included. I think length-wise it will fit, but I'm having doubts that it will fit given that the Zotac AMP! Extreme occupies almost 3 PCI-E slots, and the Phanteks Evolv ITX only has 2 PCI-E slots. Not really sure why it didn't flagged as an "incompatibility". Worst case.. I might actually go with the 980 Ti reference cooler instead. With the NH-D15, Linus actually has a video of fitting an NH-D15 on a Phanteks Evolv ITX case. So I guess it'll do just fine without any compatibility issues.

The compatibility is not going to be with the case but with the motherboard. I would advise you to check noctua webpage as they have a compatibility chart with every motherboard for each cooler.

If it does fit, it will have poor ventilation.. found this

I own one of those and am using it for a backup PC. You don't need to worry about fitting any kind of 980 Ti in it. It's very large for an ITX case: comparable to most micro ATX mini towers in terms of height and depth, and as wide as the ATX full tower I use for my main rig (Rosewill Thor v2).

Hello! I'm still having doubts that the Zotac AMP! Extreme will fit. It occupies almost 3 slots, and the Phanteks Evolv ITX, as far as I know, can only accommodate 2 slots. Too bad I really wanted to settle with this card for its performance and its looks, and I really wanted to have the Phanteks Evolv ITX as well lol dilemmas. But I value the case more so I'll just go with other 980 Ti variant instead :)
