Hi guys , im getting ready to build my first pc and im trying to get my head around the OS set up . The pc im using now has windows 7 but havent upgraded yet . Im gonna make a bootable drive of windows 10 for my new pc , when it asks for the product key , does it refer to my windows 7 product key ? Also could you please recommend a suitable USB to buy for making the bootable drive . I might do the upgrade this evening , is there any problems with this process , driver issues or causing problems with my games ? The "get windows 10" information says .. This PC is compatible . You're good to go ! Thanks very much .

Hi , I think I'll just buy a new Windows 10 OS for the new build although the Internet is full of tutorials on how to make a USB bootable drive and I can only find one tutorial with someone using the Microsoft pen drive and that install when bad . Can you please recommend the best option , is the purchased pen drive install ok ? Thanks for your help .

...is the purchased pen drive install ok ?

If you meant something like THIS,
Yes, it is fine.
If concerned about receiving a defective stick, purchase from stores such as Amazon with good exchange policies.

Hi , yes that one . I actually done the free upgrade last night on this pc . Everything went great , no issues . Sorry can I ask something else . As I upgraded last night and set up a Microsoft account , do I use the same login details for this new build if I were to go the USB bootable drive route ?
