Cpu will be used on a gigabyte h170m-d3h micro atx mobo.

Get a 6600 (6500 is better for the price most often) or the 6700 since you can't overclock on an H170 mobo

But for coolers I found the CRYORIG H7 fairly easy to install, but the stock cooler is really easy to install too

He says the mobo is H170, and only the locked chips have no cooler, so if he goes with a locked chip because he has a locked mobo, then it would be smart to just use the cooler

well isn't the h170 a locked mobo?

Yes it is, so getting a locked SKU would be smart and using the stock cooler, but if they want quiet and cool temps spending $35 on a CRYORIG H7 would be good

I would recommend the hyper 212 x or the h60
