The PSU is fine, and a good sale for $30. The CX series is Corsair's lowest line. It will suit your needs, but will be closer to the edge of the limits than a higher quality unit. But, still solid units.
Simple answer: Yes, it will be fine.
thank you! that was one thing i was worrying about
But you won't be able to crossfire in the future if you ever wanted to.
Why is that?
Not enough wattage. It's not a bad idea to plan for this option in the future, then possibly instead of having to buy a new, more expensive GPU or have to revert to lower settings for newer products, whatever... You would have the ability to add a 2nd identical GPU, and prolong the acceptable usability of your system maintaining the performance you want with newer more demanding products.
oh ok thanks
I have a 500w PSU from Lepa it works great for my fx 6300/7850 combo pc. But note if you ever want to get another 7870 you will need a new psu because you will need a minimum of 650w to power them both. So if you can get a 650 to 850 watt psu so you can crossfire in the future.
I don't plan ln cross firing, but now I might consider it
