Hello everyone :D So a year after creating my first build the itch to upgrade has been driving me crazy. Until I came across the Thermaltake Core P5 case. Now the plan to build another pc has begun and I want it to be bigger (not a bigger case xD the 760T is pretty big) and better than the first.. As mentioned in the title this will be my first time watercooling and honestly it's a little overwhelming but i'm ready for the challenge. I didn't include the tubing yet but I plan to go with PETG 10mm. Please let me know what you guys think so far and i'm welcome to some tips for a newcomer to watercooling.

You are paying a premium on that ram and psu...The EVGA P2 650 (platinum) going for 75 bucks with mail in rebate is probably the best deal for a 650 watts psu right now.

I'd probably change the GPU and the Overpriced RAM..

I also own a 760T (Black) case, and its amazing!

But your build almost costs 3grand with only a 980 in the PC. The Watercooling adds up alot i see :D.

I agree with pegotico's suggestions, unless you plan to go SLI, get a 550 or 650 watt psu. also, since you are water cooling out of the gate, why go for the TF5 980? you could go reference for compatibility with more blocks and back plates or go with a better model like the G1. finally, what about a more understated motherboard with RGB lighting like those fans? like the MSI Gaming Pro Carbon or the Asus Hero Alpha. the white I/O cover and brown pcb of the Z170-A might not look nice and this build and water cooling like this is heavily tied to aesthetics.

Definitely going with the power supply suggestion you guys made. I've made myself so afraid of cheaping out on the PSU that I pretty much spend what I don't have to I guess. XD Chose the TF5 980 because I have the 970 TF and its a nice card so I stuck with what I know, but man is that G1 MASSIVE. Love it.

For the motherboard I forgot to mention I planned to get the green Core p5 case which limits my selections if I want to keep a nice color scheme. Most parts seem to have that same old black/red thing going on. To counter this, I'm just going to get the black case and change my planned colors. The Asus Hero Alpha was actually my second choice so it's good to have a suggestion on that.

oh I see. the 650 P2 is actually a better psu all around than the AX860, which is an older platform that seasonic (the OEM for the AX 760/860) has updated a few times already. I initially thought the gpu was the 980ti, but the same thing applies to the 980. if you want a board that won't clash the MSI I named or the MSI Z170 SLI are simply all black with no colored accents or heatsinks.

Okay so i'm back with a slightly revised and slightly cheaper list. I ditched the Corsair PSU, the Asus motherboard, and the Asus monitor (I will just use the second monitor from my dual setup I have now) . I also switched out the K70 RGB keyboard for the Strafe which saves me about $30 (lol saving where I can). I also added my tubing to the list.

Guyssssss......I really want to keep the Dominator Platinums simply because of aesthetics. Especially if I get the light bar. I know, I know. Shame.

Oh and also forgot to update the GPU water block on the list.
