Upgrading to Windows 10 issues.

I'm considering upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7, but there's a small problem. The little upgrade button isn't showing in the bottom right. I've looked up how to fix this, but no dice. I've got Windows 7 Professional SP1 (not sure if that's the correct order, but whatever :P) that was recently bought and installed to my computer. Is there some limit on when you bought it/upgradability? Also, should I even upgrade? I've been using Windows 7 for about 7-8 years, and I've really gotten used to it, but feel like upgrading, because "why not?".

Will that delete my data? I can't exactly redownload everything. Internet data caps.

Okay, I'll need to go find a backup drive. Thanks for the help!
