Liquid cooling 280 vs 360

i am planing to get a new rad and don't know if there is any difference in cooling between a 280mm rad and a 360mm they both have near identical surface area but knowing "most" not all 140mm fans have greater cfm would that offset the 5% lose in surface area. does anyone have any thoughts or experience in this conflict. the case i will be installing in is a 750d.

I would go for the 360 rad and get some corsair sp120s
