Did I screw up?

I bought this PSU last week; http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-110b10750vr

After browsing the forms I've seen numerous threads stating the NEX models are junk. I even posted my parts list but only received one post stating everything looked good.

I'm going to send this one back and get a good one, but which one should I get? This is my parts list except I'm going to wait and get the GTX 1080 at the end of the month: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/jonathann3891/saved/

Thanks, Jonathan

I'd suggest this one, or you could go with the 750W version if you wanted to eventually SLI.

In that price range this are some good choices

EVGA B2 750

EVGA GQ 650

If you plan on adding a second card it will be a good idea to get an 850 watts PSU

THE RMx 850 is an excellent choice (110 on amazon is a great deal for this unit)

This is the same one that is being sent back.

(Edit: My bad.)

No its not... IM recommending the EVGA B2, if you read carefully or follow the link posted by the OP you will see its the B1

The B2 is a good unit.

My bad. They're completely different units. Trick of the light.

The NEX aren't BAD but theyre not the greatest and theres better units available for the price is all.

It's good enough, but I wouldn't really trust it in a high end system

I plan on sending it back and getting something better.

To be honest you did, that NexB is based on a platform that is over 10 years old and there isn't even a proper review of it out. As in what you should replace it with, what is your budget?

I would go for a 750 watt Evga G2 or if you can afford it the 850 watt Corsair RMx that is currently ~$109 which is a great deal for it.
