Windows 10 ruined storage device

I purchased an external drive a few months back and I moved files onto it using windows 7. I recently installed windows 10 only to find that windows 10 essentially bricked my drive by not allowing me to see my files anymore. All of my files were music files and now my computer can only see the same five songs in each folder, but if I hook it up to a windows 7 computer, it recognizes all of the files, any ideas why? Please leave suggestions if you know how to fix this issue.

Ok, so Windows 10 did not "brick" anything.

Does Windows 10 see the full size of the drive?

Are all the files in the same format?
