Hi All,

I have a Corsair TX850M. It has the function where it only starts at high load.

However, I've not seen it spinning for a while, and when I open a game / put heavy load I hear a clicking noise from the fan. On observation, the fan is twitching, looking like it's trying to spin, moves a fraction and then stops. This goes on for about 10 mins and then it gives up. Also the fan does not spin on startup.

I have also tried running prime 95 for an hour or so with the case closed to get the temps up and nothing. Has anyone experienced this? Can anyone reccomend how to test the fan better?

The PSU is brand new, couple of weeks old only and I've definitely seen / heard it spin up in the past.

Thanks!

Even new PSU's have come broke, if the fan is now working I would return it for a replacement while it is still under warranty. The fan should come on due to heat no load. Fan should come on when you give it power.
