I recently brought a system and i was just double checking if my power supply is ok.
Specs if your lazy.
I have brought a Corsair CX500w
To be honest its not a great psu but it should be enough to power your system.
Thanks. Im not planning on overclocking at all. I also dont think the games i play will use the gpu at max. Thanks again.
I mean it will power it, but you put a $50 power supply in a computer with an i7 an a 970. That makes no sense to me.
Got the Power Supply and Graphics Card in a bundle
It doesn't have stellar performance but itll work.
If you could return that PSU and pay the difference, this would be a much mroe solid choice for your build : http://pcpartpicker.com/product/3hkwrH/corsair-power-supply-cp9020102na
It's enough wattage, but it's not a great PSU.
I will prob upgrade my psu within 2 years so im not keeping it forever. Thanks everyone for the help.
Hopefully the psu will last that long
It has a maximum output of 456 watts on the +12v rail.
That's an older version of the CX
It is a bit confusing.
