Older power supplies compatibility with new CPUs

Looking to buy a corsair AX760i for my upcoming build and was wondering if there are any incompatibilities with older power supplies like the 760i (which was designed in 2012) )working with Skylake CPU's. I know skylake uses similar low power states like Haswell did and wanted to know if I would have to disable anything like c6/c7 in the bios.

It would work perfectly with no compatibility issues. I wouldn't buy the AXi though. It's plagued with coil whine . I'd go for the RMx/RMi personally.

I'm only considering the axi because i can get a pretty decent price on one, it's not my first choice really

760 watts is a lot for a rig today. A 550w power supply can power most modern GPU's including a 1080.

If you could get it for $130- $150, then I'd say get it, but any of these would be better options.
