Two to choose between, which should I pick?

The Corsair RMx is better than the SuperNOVA NEX.

And you agree that 550W will be enough to power the system on when really pushed?

It'll be fine. The PCPP estimate suggests that you'll have nearly 200W of buffer. That estimate isn't totally accurate, but it's such a big margin that I'd be quite comfortable with it.

Is the 352 estimate the thing on idle or under a full load?

Full load. Even if you overclock the i7 (and I assume you will), 200 extra watts should be plenty.

Okay, now I just have a CPU cooler to pick, according to some people the one I've got isn't enough for overclocking

The store I'm getting my quotes from just stated they don't have the RM550X :/

But if you had the choice you would go with the one you recommended earlier?
