It's all personal preference and I know people who actually like Windows 8 quite a bit.

For me (in terms of Windows OS), I prefer Windows 7, but I basically only use Windows for gaming so transitioning to Windows 10 is a no-brainer (to get DX 12). I currently use Ubuntu for productivity so I don't actually deal with Windows UI too much at home. I have Windows 7 at work.

In my opinion, Linux ≥ Win7 ≥ Win10 >> Win 8

Am I the only one who likes the Windows 8 UI? I wish I could make 10 look like 8.

Windows 10 for DirectX 12.

Personally I like it with Classic Shell as I prepared the look of the Windows 7 taskbar. Other than that I've had no issues with Windows 10 and I actually prefer it to Windows 7 now.
