This unit will be dedicated to flight sim Prepar3d v3. It will need to support 4 monitors.

Please look over my parts list and advise where I have mismatches and/or could get more bang for my buck.

The CPU is crap for its price, its out done by the Pentium G4400 which is over $50 cheaper and its murderd by the i3 6100. That PSU is a hazard to the build. Why a Bluray writer? Why a external HDD? That HDD is of terrible value. I would also get a cheaper case. What is your max budget?

Thanks for your comments.

  1. I'll look into your CPU suggestions. Bottom line, I need a minimum 4 GHz.
  2. Yep, Bluray writer not supposed to be included.
  3. Ext HDD put in to keep backup of int HDD.
  4. I agree about to the case. Can you recommend a better value?
  5. As for budget, I'd originally figured $1500. The attached list is my effort to come up with a bottom up design and add $ to end up with a good, solid unit without over spending.

Ghz doesn't equal performance.

I saved about $100. It has a MUCH MUCH better CPU. It has 16GB of RAM, not sure about the RAM requirements but RAM is relativity cheap so its not going to hurt to get extra just in case. It has a bigger and faster SSD. It also has a MUCH MUCH better PSU.
