If I were you, I would go with the G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2400 Memory(goo.gl/W6cm8A).It's Faster and better for the same price.And also try going with an r9 380X(goo.gl/j4WVse).Beside those two changes,it's pretty good.

These are all last-gen parts at awful prices. Go with an i5/i3 and a 1060/480. The 840 is ancient, too. Go with an 850 or the cheaper 750.

I mean, it's $400 more expensive. You can improve at the original budget. Don't get a 980 now, either, unless there's a really good sale. A 1060 is nearly as good for half the price. I'll help you with a list if you'd like.

I found the GTX 980 for about half of the listed price here at the Micro Center by my house. I'm not on a super tight budget right now I'm just trying not to be frivolous
