That cpu is not unlocked for overclocking so the H100i cooling it is waaaay overkill. If you are going to stick with the cooler then get a 6600k. If you are sticking with the cpu research into getting a cheap but effective air cooler

^ This.

Also get a Hard drive, 250GB only on the SSD will run out quick.
Everything else looks fine

Okay so an additional hard drive good to know. I may just go with a 500 sad but I haven't decided yet.

If you go for a 500GB SSD, I still recommend adding a hard drive later for mass storage of files, like videos pictures etc etc

Okay good advice I'll bump it to the 6600k. Thanks!

Monitor is weaksauce. Go 1440p or 144hz. And you could easily fit all of this into a mid-tower. Full towers are enormous.

I'll look at a mid case but I'll probably stick with the monitor

Then get a 1060. A 1070 is wasted at 1080p/60hz.

I was trying to do a little future proofing in case I wanted a better monitor later

I'm just saying that's a bad idea. You're squandering the value of a very powerful card in its prime. Unless you plan on getting a real display in the next few months, I wouldn't do it.

I went ahead and bumped it up to Asus MG278Q 27.0" 144Hz
