first steam/hivemind/console {handheld} emulation build (opinions appreciated)

(I have been wanting to build a steam machine for kodi and steam and when I saw hivemind, I knew I needed to download it when I have my build done... I need your honest and helpful opinions on my build...) I want to play the games that are in this wishlist...[ http://steamcommunity.com/id/YamiRioru/wishlist ] feel free to just skim through it and tell me an average cpu requirement (or take your time with the list if you want to be technical about the cpu needs...) I will change my list not to what you want on your pc build but what you suggest for my build... I'm trying to stay below the $1000 limit if possible unless my game/usage requirements ask for more... thank you

  1. You don't need an i7 for those games. An i5 would do fine. Even i3 is OK for playing games if you're OK with occasionally lowering settings if needed.

  2. The RAM will be limited to 2133 Mhz, so you might as well get a cheaper one instead.

  3. Your optical drive has an IDE connector, not SATA (what you should aim for).

  4. Why do you need a Slimline SATA to SATA adapter?

  5. I'd not buy a hybrid HDD-SSD drive (SSHD), rather a separate HDD and SSD. You have enough space for that (with the mini graphics card).

A comparison between i5-6500 and i7-2600, which was recommended for Attack on Titan.

So the i5 lags about 10% - 15% behind. I can't tell you how a game would do I have never played, but I honestly doubt you couldn't play it on maxed out graphics with an i5-6500 and a GTX 1060.
