Going for a Black build and for the Monitor, Keyboard and Mouse I'm going cheap for now because of my budget. If there is anything wrong please hit me up. Not technically hit me >:P PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

You don't need an extra CPU cooler or a Z170 mobo if you aren't going to overclock, you can save some by removing the CPU cooler then getting a more simple H170 mobo

If I get the 6600k I don't have to change anything right?

You will need a different motherboard

Hold on, I got mixed up between posts, but if you want to OC with 6600k you'll need a Z170 mobo

I do have the z170 mono doe lol

With that setup I would swap the 6500 for a 6600k. If not, get rid of the Z motherboard and the cooler as you aren't able to overclock that CPU

I'm going to get 6600k I selected the wrong CPU lol

For the RAM, I would go with 4x4 instead of 2x8. The HDD, I would go with a WD Black Series; longer life span. For the PSU, I would go with the Corsair RM550x. Lastly, I'd go with a Corsair Carbide 400c for the case. it's a pretty awesome design. My favourite feature is the full window with a latch handle so you don't need to unscrew the panel.

Why 4x4 instead of 2x8? That will just reduce the upgrade path later on.

Because when you buy RAM for a build, you should always buy the RAM that your going to use in your build together. Reason being is that when bought separately, the manufacturer may have updated components in the chips even thought they are the same specs and they will either be incompatible (which is very rare) or they won't run as smoothly. So I say buy 4x4 because when your memory is being processed, it is much faster when spanned across more chips. Same concept as RAIDing HDD's.

Z170 boards do not support quad channel memory.
