Need this bad boy to run graphics (Photoshop, Paint tool Sai), gaming (CSGO, MC, GTA), schoolwork. I do alot of gaming so anything is an upgrade from my old laptop :)

Got alot of help from the community, just wanted to clarify things up with some other people. All opinions needed. The budget for this build was $1000, if there are any parts I could downgrade let me know. I will do anything for a price change! Thanks a ton community!

Why not get two sticks of ram to run in dual channel?

1 stick is cheaper and dual channel helps more the weaker the cpu (so like an i3 it would be faster than for an i5 or an i7). Here he is better off getting a single stick so he can put another 8gb stick in later for 16gb should he need it for CC

Looks like a pretty great build for the price. My only suggestions would be

1) get an SSD on top of the HDD for fast boot times and loading times (programs and games). This one is cheap and great http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/qf98TW/a-data-internal-hard-drive-asp550ss3120gmc

2) For photoshop and things like that you will be much happier with IPS than a 144hz monitor. The 144hz only really helps in games that you can push to 144hz (so pro CSGO players like it), but for better color accuracy you will want IPS. Plus IPS panels have really gone down in price so they are great for a build. These are all good options http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/Lmw323,Nk648d,VWtWGX/
