Hey, this is the first time i am attempting too build a gaming PC, so i just wanted any opinions or suggestions for my build. Please keep all items you suggest available in Australia and also not to recommend things from neweggs global site as shipping is still very expensive. Also, keep the overall price tag similar for the build. Thank you for any feedback/opinions or suggestions Build: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/PQYDjc Questions: Will a semi-modular power supply come with all the cables i will need?, Is my CPU outdated?, is my monitor any good? and is the rx 470 Graphics card good?

once again I wouldnt recommend the intel 540s. You can get a OCZ trion 150 or OCZ Arc 100 for less and get faster performance.

(definitely agree on the 1060)

Between the two psus they are about even. So the one you recommended is i think cheaper so its a good option.

There are some reviews on the two psus (XFX TS and CXM v2) for your benefit :D (jonnyguru does amazing psu reviews, just ignore the value section since the prices change)

Why do you bold random parts of your reply? And if I were OP how would I know who to trust if I saw two conflicting recommendations? This way he can see both of them and hopefully we each provide evidence as to why we are correct until one of us is wrong/we reach a compromise.

I understand it may be the same price and faster, but that doesnt mean its the best option. You can go cheaper and/or faster still beyond your recommendation.

"You get what you pay for" definitely does not always apply to computer parts (and doesn't in this situation). For instance I could pay $910 for a 780ti atm. That doesnt mean im going to get 150% the speeds of a 1080.

I've shown you from multiple sources that the OCZ Trion 150 is faster than the Intel 540s. If want to believe otherwise i cant stop you, but ill continue to post the data for OP to read and make his own opinion. http://www.thessdreview.com/our-reviews/intel-540s-series-ssd-review-480gb/5/ http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-ssd-540s-review,4568-3.html These show that the Trion 150 is faster than the intel 540s. (userbenchmark says its slightly slower, but thats using synthetic benchmarks from a single source whereas these reviews take multiple benchmarks as well as real world analysis to test speeds). In addition, the OCZ Arc 100 is faster than the intel 540s even according to userbenchmark and is cheaper. Any reason not to go with that one?

And what chart are you referencing? I'm clearly not blind as I have shown you already that the two i recommended are faster from multiple benches and sources.

And finally yes, you can recommend what you want and I can recommend others. I just want whats best for OP and not just "slightly better"

I'm very interested in learning more if I am wrong. Can you provide any evidence beyond userbenchmark?
