Maybe if you used a processor with a 45 TDP (thermal design power) or lower you could go fanless, but the 860k is rated at 95 TDP so it probably wont be efficient enough to cool that cpu under load. Look into the Noctua NH-U9S or CRYORIG H5. Anything rated for 95 TDP or higher.

M9i instead of the Noctua, cheaper and about the same

Yes go with the M9i. Nice find Gentleman Shark. Here are the comparisons. Almost the same performance (Noctua a tad bit quieter).

That PSU WILL cause damage to the build, WAYY too much for that CPU. Why a aftermarket cooler? Way too much for that GPU. What is this build for and what is your max budget? Are you using mail in rebates?

max budget about 425

it has no GPU of any sort, the 860K is of awful value and that AIO is of awful value and isn't needed. What all do you need? You didn't have a mouse and keyboard in the OP.

If you really want to go cheap and play games you can do what I did.

Get yourself a Dell OptiPlex 780 SFF or any socket LGA775 bare bones (I got mine from work for free, hey working in IT has its perks!) I have a few for sale btw. These run for $60-80 on Ebay. Then get yourself a Q9650 quad core around $60 Upgrade to 8GB - 16GB ram DDR3 1066 or 1333 MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card $100 - $120

Final build only cost me about $150. Mostly for the video card and CPU which I got a deal on.

I can run Skyrim and GTA V at 1080 60fps+ depending on settings. Maybe not on ultra, but high settings I can't complain.
