It all depends on what sort of frame-rates you're after really. A single 1080 will manage 5760x1080 (triple 1080p monitors) at 60fps with relative ease. But 4K takes a little bit more pushing power and you might struggle to get 60fps in most games.

You could either wait for a 1080ti and get one of those, or buy another 1080 when the 1080ti release invariably forces the 1080 price down. Either way you'd be golden.

But will a game at 30fps with gsync be much different than 60fps with gsync? I mostly play action-adventure and racing games. Im not a big FPS player.

Low frame-rates are still low frame-rates. All G-Sync does is smooth the transition. If you go from 45 fps in an open field to a crowded city and your FPS drops by 15fps, that transition won't be as janky, but that 30fps will still look like 30fps.

You should be alright if your willing to drop some settings like msaa hair works grass detail stuff like that
