cooler is not needed since the i5 comes with a stockcooler. Thermal paste is also not needed stockcooler already has it. SSD for the OS, Better Gpu and much better psu for a bit more. And an atx mobo looks a bit better in a atx case with window.

So cooling shouldn't be an issue? My budget is $1000. But I can probably cough up the extra $100 if it's worth it.

cooling should be no problem. You could always add a cooler if needed in the future.
