I'd say so, although I do reccomend an Intel CPU, I can't deny that this would serve you well for both light gaming and light editing.

Nice I'll sub! I don't really reccomend buying DayZ however, it's been in early access for way too long and honestly I think the devs are abusing the system. Maybe they'll come out of nowhere and blow the minds of all the 150 people that still play the damn thing.

Contrary to what I normally say, in this case, a budget video editing rig would benefit greatly from more votes, even if it's architecture isn't up to date. Overall, I'd reccomend waiting for AMD zen since it's extremely close (predicted end of Q4 2016) and its APU will possibly be enough to not need a graphics card at all (graphics performance of APU predicted to match consoles)

Hmmm, I agree with the wait for Zen, even if it's not the best thing ever, It is worth waiting to see options, although I doubt unless AMD creates a propriotary motherboard to house the thick-*** CPU/GPU combo to replace the GPU, I don't think that will work out very well. I mean, just imagine how big a CPU/GPU combo would have to be to replace a fullsized GPU!

This will work but I would also recommend intel. I would get the the fx 8320e due to its overclocking capabilities.

Here is an intel build. You can get a legit windows license key for like $30. Download windows to a flash drive and then buy a key for $30

I would go with an intel chip. Probably an i7 6700, they are amazing for video editing, and I would up to a GTX 1060, they aren't too much more expensive, for a 4x performance boost.
