Been planning on building a pc for almost 2 years now and after a while ive finally been able to come up with the money to get one. i plan on mostly doing 1080p gaming at 60 frames ( of course more is better). would like some feed back on this as being a simple but functional and somewhat future proof build. my budget is 1000$

This will be able to play games at 1080p 144+ fps and 1080p 60 fps for a long time to come. Just make sure you have a monitor that is above 60Hz

Thanks for the feed back, definitely wanted to fit in a gtx 1070 but i heard many say its overkill for just 1080p gaming but then again i guess thats where the future proofing comes into play haha. ill definitely take this into consideration . thanks!

I like to see it that way.

You can spend like 250 - 280 $ right now to play games at 1080p 60fps and you will have to check for another GPU in 3 years. You would have to sell the GTX 1060 somehow, as you just can't by a 2nd one. 1060 has no SLI support. And a SLI board costs more $ anyways. And having 2 x GPU doesn't give you twice the power in the majority of games anyways. And you would need a higher wattage PSU.

You invest 400 $ to play games at insane 1080p 144+ fps and see your fps slowly dropping to 60 after 5 - 6 years. No trouble getting a new GPU, as 60+fps is totally fine.

I would recommend upgrading the cooler to a Cryorig H7 for better thermals and accoustics as well as a better motherboard to properly OC your CPU on and better Ram.

I would however, cut down the GPU to the 3GB 1060 version which is more than overkill for 1080p 60fps ultra and would change the PSU to a 650W GQ from EVGA.

Not only would this save you about $40 but it should perform better as well for your goals.
