What's it worth?

My old PC build is sitting around doing nothing. A friend was thinking about purchasing it for his girlfriend to play Tera. What do you think this build is worth? Could I sell it for $800-$1000?

Oh man... I think you're gonna have to take a bigger loss than that I'm afraid.

You could whip up a nice i5 & gtx 1060 build for ~800, which will likely beat it's performance as well as being, you know, new, so I think you're gonna have to come in way below that to be an attractive option.

Which sucks but there you go.

Also, fwiw, personally I might feel a little like a **** selling a buddy an old build like that, unless he's a frenemy or you hate his girl or something :D

HAHAHA... he is currently using an FX-8350 same mobo and same SSD only he has a R9 270x 2gb video card. So this old build would essentially be a partial match to his current system

lol definitely not a good buy for him in that case.

If he's a good buddy help him design a better build and throw that up on craiglsist/offer up/etc for a grand, "Hi spec 8 core water cooled 32gig ram blah blah blah!", caveat emptor people! :D
