Last Time CHeck Before the Big Order

I will soon be buying all the parts from Micro Center. The reason why I did not go with a 1070 was to have enough cashfor the i7-6700. I will be doing a lot of editing and recording on this computer with some gaming as well.

How is this build?I cannot go too much over-budget. But if you have any suggestions, go ahead. I will be happy to accept anything.

It looks pretty good to me, not sure if I understand your reasoning for not getting a 1070 though. Putting that processor (i7-6700), and a 1070 in should still be fine - you won't run out of space (unless you meant money?). However, an i7 might be overkill for your budget. You mention you'll be doing editing, if you work a lot with the adobe suite or a similar software set then it will be useful, if it's only occasional though then an i5 is probably more than sufficient for your needs. You might also consider getting sets of 8GB or 16GB sticks of RAM, rather then four sets of 4GB, as this will leave you with more room for upgrades later if you want to add more RAM. (eg: two sticks of 8GB RAM). It should cost about the same.

Yea, I did mean money. If I did put them both together the total cost would go to 1150. I will mainly just be doing some editing and recording. I will also be working with a graphic tablet and recording at 1080p or 720p. Do you think I should take a different approach? At Micro Center they are selling the i7-6700 for about 279.99 plus tax and the ram is only 55 dollars. I want the build to be future proof and I will not be overclocking. I find it too risky for a beginner.

I read some of your conversation in the other thread. I'd recommend you go with a gtx1060 based on your needs, as it will be more than sufficient for 1080p 60fps gaming. Especially if you're not playing heavy duty next gen poorly optimized games such as Star Citizen, DAYZ, etc. If it's things like Minecraft, Overwatch, CS:GO etc, it's more than sufficient. The thing you have to consider is if you really want to make use of a 1070 on a single monitor gaming is you'll want a much larger native resolution monitor such as 1440p or 4k, as well as a higher hz such as 120, 140, etc.

Yea, other than that do you think the list is good to go? I will be going to Micro Center soon and I will probably get distracted by all the stuffy they have in there......(My Normal day at Micro Center, a 30 minute trip becomes 3 hours.....Time travel ;-) )

Just get different RAM. The reason is that you have a 4x4GB so it uses up all your slots. If, in the future you wanted to upgrade from 16GB to 32GB, this will make it easier. Plus this is $10 cheaper:

Thanks ;D

How long do you think it will take for the hard drive to become full if I recorded 1 hour long videos of Minecraft at 720p each day?

I already checked, the total price on this build is $1004 with tax included

The gtx 1070 asus turbo edition would make my budget to 1150 and I do not have a big budget.

So would it be better to get a i5-6600 with a gtx 1070 or a i7-6700 with a gtx 1060

Yep, I double checked the numbers and even went so far as to putting the stuff at the micro center website to see its total price with tax included. (tax is 1.0887... here) IT is mainly the tax. If Micro Center did not tax, then I would be buying a gtx 1070

P.S: GTX 1060 has a lower power consumption, which is mainly why I switched over to it.
