I decided on just using this build

No reason to get a aftermarket cooler since the CPU is locked. That money could go else where. That HDD is meh performance wise so just beware of that. Also I would get the 450 watt Corsair CXM which is better which is around $42 ( PCPP lists it as $52 but you should be able to get free shipping for it). I would go back to the i5 6400 since its just behind the i5 6500. With the money saved I would get a SSD and the 2TB Barracuda instead of that HDD.

The baseclock speed is very misleading. Its turbo speed is only a few hundred Mhz behind the i5 6500 and it will be at its turbo speed more often than not when gaming.
