It turns out that, unfortunately, I have had to do some budget cuts to go down to 1080p. However, as I already have a GTX 1070, I figured I'd just include that. The i7 is necessary for CAD work and rendering. I still like the idea of a 27" monitor as I have one right now, but there aren't really any G-sync 144hz ones and I know I won't always hit 144hz on ultra settings so I just went with a 60hz IPS. How does my build look now? Again, build is black and blue. Pretty much only budget cuts were the monitor & GPU.

You can fit in a 1440p monitor with that budget. Here are the changes I made

  • WD BLACK: It's only a slight bit better than the WD Blue with an increase in warranty; definitely not worth the price increase
  • You won't need 850W of power; even if you had dual 1070's.
  • The Asus Z170-E still fits the theme, includes the same amount of SATA ports, and a USB-Type C

I assume the extra case fans are to replace the stock ones on the Liquid Cooler?

Thanks! And yes, the extra case fans are to replace the stock Corsair fans as the Corsair fans don't have as much CFM and they're much louder.
