So my friend asked me to make him a list for his first build. I took a bit of inspiration from my build and applied it to his build. His budget is $600-$800 and he going to be using it for gaming and everyday use.

1 .With a little investment, you can get RX 480 with 8 GB VRAM.

  1. I'd get 2 x 4 GB RAM to utilize Dual Channel Memory mode. There are still 2 RAM slots available for future upgrades.

  2. I would not spend money on optical drives. Almost everything is available for download. Install OS from USB drive.

  3. A better quality PSU suggested by Awakening in his post.
