Best Budget Cpu/gpu for fallout 4 and ark

My rig currently consists of a Pentium g3258 (4.4ghz) and a gtx 960 ssc 4gb model. Ark is playable, but 25-45 fps, and on fallout 4 on high, i can easily get 60 fps but when im in the city, my frames shoot down. What would be the best cpu and/or gpu combo for around 250-300 to get the best possible performance and looks from these games? I was thinking an i3 and an rx 480? Or is there a better combo for the money?

Had this in the games section, didnt know if I shouldve posted it here or there so I did both

The 960 is a good 1080p GPU to be honest just bumping your CPU to something like an i5-4460 should greatly improve your performance.

Fallout 4 can run on 2 cores and isnt too taxing but it can drop performance if your cpu lacks power. ARK is more CPU dependent so upgrading your CPU will also help your performance as well.
