First time build need opinions

Awztec

This is my first and hopefully only build for a while could anyone help out to see if this system is suitable for overclocking. I would be using this for gaming and school work, the games would mostly be overwatch, fallout 4, far cry 4, GTAV, Skyrim, CSGO etc. Is this system overkill and how long should I expect this to last me. Any help or advice on the parts would be greatly appreciated. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/HWY3RG

You dont need thermal paste. Some is already provided with the cpu cooler. You should also get a better psu especially if you plan on overclocking. That unit is very mediocre and you could get a better perfoming unit for a little more. Have you considered the newer RX 470? It performs much better than the 960.

Personally, I wouldn't plough 30% of the budget into peripherals and focus instead on getting the best GPU you can afford.

How about this:

I know what you're saying but I'm weak and my hearts set on these and I'm hoping they will last a long time as well. To be honest from what i've researched would this card not be fine or would it start to deteriorate quickly because it would struggle with the demands? I don't think I need the 6GB card for what I'll be using but if iI do tell me please and does that motherboard have built in wifi?

Go for it if you can see the value and long term usage, I just prefer things that don't shout 'gamerrrr'.

Predicting the future is pretty much a mug's game with gfx cards, but this card should handle games for a good while yet.

No Wi-Fi on this card, but I stick to Wi-Fi for phones/tablets/laptops only and cable in for a gaming machine. Use powerline adapters if you have no proximity to the router, even cheap ones are way better than Wi-Fi.

Ditch overclocking. Tone down the periferals and get a decent gpu.

The 1060 6gb is excelent.
