First time Builder, what do you think of this?

Hi guys, just wanted some opinions on this build.

My reason for getting a new computer is mainly battlefield 1 (would like to run at 1080p 60 FPS - high settings) but also because my old gaming laptop (5-6 years old) isn't cutting it anymore.

Also regarding the budget, I'd like to avoid spending anymore than the current total. Is there any parts that i could change out to be cheaper without losing out on much performance? I would really like this machine to last me another ~5 years.

Get a 6500, drop the cpu cooler, add another stick of 1x8 ram and get a gold+ rated psu.

Should be able to do that dropping the cooler and moving to a 6500.

So something like this?

the ram i selected seems very cheap, should I consider a different brand than crucial?

Yep exactly. A+

You might be able to save 5 bucks if you go with a 16gb kit of ram and maybe another 5 bucks if you find a non modular psu. But you basically got it.

Awesome! Thanks for the comments as to why you made each change. I'm still pretty unfamiliar with part compatibility, so it helps out a lot.

So if I'm not interested in Overclocking, would i be able to save money on a different CPU and Motherboard?

Someone recommended adding another 8 gigs of ram, what are your thoughts?

Really appreciate the input, I did some research into Overclocking and agree that it is the way to go. I really like the build, I'm actually considering purchasing these parts this weekend!
