Z87-G41 PC Mate

Purchased a Z87-G41 PC Mate at micro center for 60.00. Will this be adequate for a gaming build? I plan on core i5 4670k CPU. Never overclocked but would like the option.

Adequate's a good word for it - it's got all the essential functionality for gaming and allows for overclocking. Its VRM is rather poor, so it may not overclock as well as other boards. But given how GPU-bound games are, I doubt that'll significantly impact you performance-wise.

It's a steal for $60, but you will set no overclocking records.

Thanks for the replies. I research and was almost set to buy the MAXIMUS_VI_Hero. Should I return it and be happier with this board or keep the PC mate because it was such a good price? Money is not really a problem. I'm just worried about the audio and not wanting to update for a few years
