Gaming and video/music editing

Hi

I've put together something that I'm more or less happy with spec wise but would appreciate somone with more experience casting their eyes over it to check it for any glaring mistakes.

I'll primary be using it for gaming, on a Dell s2716dg, as well as music recording and video editing.

Let me kniw your thoughts and any feed back is great appreciated!

Cheers

  • cooler is one of the best
  • thermal paste is like AS5, but it has better temperatures at overlcoked load, non-corrosive, non-conductive
  • quality MOBO
  • sweet-spot RAM
  • good bang-per-buck SSD
  • cheaper GTX 1080 with higher performance
  • good quality case
  • good quality PSU
  • cheaper high quality monitor, that even has IPS
  • 3x140mm Silent Wings 3, baby!

Thanks SplatterLord!

I went with the higher spec stuff as I tend to keep parts for a looking time before upgrading. I'm moving from a 2010 laptop (Dell Studio 1749!) So I want the best I can get. I'd initially gone with the evga gtx 1080 but had heard of overheating issues and that the Asus was the next best one.

Thanks for taking the time to look over the build and provided suggestions. I can take look at the parts you have suggested and what the main differences are between the builds.

Thanks again!
