I am wondering if my current build is good for hardcore gaming. I have never built a PC before, but I know a good amount about it, due to research. Here is the link: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/42pWr7 Thanks.

More research needed. You have an unlocked processor with a motherboard that is not capable of overclocking it. The CPU cooler is not exactly ideal for the processor unless you do not plan to overclock. The motherboard is Micro ATX but you picked a full tower case. The power supply is over priced for what it is.

I would be happy to help you put together a part list, just say the word.

Changed:

  • Mobo to Z170 chipset to allow overclock on 6700k
  • CPU Cooler to H7 for better temps
  • Drop to 2TB HDD because you'll never use that much
  • G1 Gaming 1080 because same performance, lower price
  • Mastercase Pro 5, see above
  • PSU to G2 because NEX are shi'ite
  • Remove network card because mobo has built in one.
