Well, I know the 1050 was just released but, i want to know if, the 1050 ti is good for a 1st pc just to play games like BF1, titanfall 2 or DOOM (the new one) at 1080p at 60fps.

And also, do you think i5 6500 its OK for the 1050 ti or another CPU?

All help is apreciated

PS: do you think the 1050 ti would be good for 1 or 2 years?

AMD is cutting the prices of their RX 470 cards down to $169. Adding $30 from the cheaper GeForce GTX 1050 Ti would give you much more performance.

Well as i can see, theres a beastly diference between the 1050 ti vs 1060

1060 = 192.2 GB/s, 1050 ti = 112.1 GB/s | 1060 = 6,144 MB, 1050 ti = 4,096 MB | 1060 = 1,404 MHz, 1050 ti = 1,290 MHz | 1060 = 3,594 GFLOPS, 1050 ti = 1,981.4 GFLOPS | 1060 = 67.4 GPixel/s, 1050 ti = 41.3 GPixel/s | 1060 = 8,008 MHz, 1050 ti = 7,008 MHz | 1060 = 112.3 GTexel/s, 1050 ti = 61.9 GTexel/s | 1060 = 1,670 MHz, 1050 ti = 1,392 MHz | 1060 = 48 render output processors, 1050 ti = 32 render output processors | 1060 = 1,280 shading units, 1050 ti = 768 shading units | 1060 = 80 texture mapping units, 1050 ti = 48 texture mapping units | 1060 = 2,002 MHz memory clock speed, 1050 ti = 1,752 memory clock speed |

The GTX 1050Ti vs RX 470: RX 470 wins for DX12 games. Otherwise for DX11 games the 1050Ti wins. Though in practice the results tend to be mixed where as on paper it seems straight forward...eh. Unless you really want to go green then 1050Ti is a good card. Either one will be good for the i5-6500. If you were to step up to the 1060 then get the 6GB version. As far as DOOM is concerned, using the Vulkan API will be a great performance booster. Though please note the prices and the frames per dollar. Ultimately, your choice. Either seems like a solid contender.

As far as the processor is concerned, it's fine at this level.

Personally, I would rather go with the GTX 1060 because it has a higher clock speed, it has more memory and it is only ~100 more expensive. It is definitely worth the upgrade because it is easier to upgrade to a 1070 or a 1080 later on. The i5-6500 is the right CPU for your kind of gaming in this circumstance. If you want some better FPS, you might go with the i7-6700 instead.
