CX500 Replacement

I was just looking around some forums and saw a lot of people have complaints about the CX500. I'm thinking about getting a different one, does anyone have recommendations for a PSU for about the same price? I was hoping to spend around $50 on a PSU but now I'm thinking about increasing the budget a little to around $80-$100, preferably more budget oriented because this initial PSU will be upgraded later in the future. I've heard good things about EVGA 550 G2 and other EVGA PSUs.

I don't know much about which brands are reliable so info on that would be helpful too.

I Live in the US so shouldn't be many shipping problems.
