My First Build (for gaming). Opinions?

Hello Everyone! Christmas is coming and I'm planning to build a PC. I want to use it mostly for gaming and some school stuff but that's just Word or Powerpoint. I've never built a computer before so I need some help. I want to spend 600-650$, max.700$.

Here's my part list: pcpartpicker

It'd be good if I could play in 1080p with medium or high settings. Do you think this build would be enough for that? Thank you for your answers.

First thing, you don't need anything more than the stock cooler for non K Intel CPU's. Put the money from not getting a third party cooler into a 6500 for the extra clock speed. I'd like to mention you could probably get cheaper RAM too. I'd suggest getting at 500w or higher PSU just to be safe for the future. The GPU is solid, but I don't personally like that it's 3gb. Running GTA:V on my 970 at high/ultra settings uses around 3.2 GB.

Edit: Here is a part list I put together quick http://pcpartpicker.com/list/m4G4NN

You don't need the extra cooler, the stock cooler is plenty enough

The 6500 would be a good choice, the extra Ghz will yield performance gains

The Rx480 might be a better choice, it performs similar, but in Vulcan and DX12 it does edge out the 1060

A 500 watt PSU would be nice as well
