Hi All,

Aspiring PC Gamer here,

I am building a PC for Uni in a few months and am trying to get at least 5 years with only minor upgrading of a few core component between now and the completion of my course. I will primarily be using it for gaming (Witcher 3 is my first priority), but, I also play around with a little bit of video work and it will definitely be used heavily for analytics and statistical calculations.

I was hoping that someone with a bit more experience than me would be able to have a quick look at the build and give possible suggestions or fixes. I can't really increase the price at all, I am in all honesty hoping to maybe cut a little bit off it possible.

In terms of the monitor having it any higher resolution is kind of pointless for me, I have shocking eyesight and anything above Full HD is wasted on me.

Thanks in advance to all who respond,

Someone who doesn't really have any idea what they are doing. (Me)

It's essentially the same part list but cheaper:
I stuck with the red/black theme as that seemed to be what you were going for. I switched out some parts for other cheaper ones with similar or better performance.
The SSD I chose is smaller and nearly as expensive, but has a much better speed and lifespan. It's 128 GB, which is big enough for your OS and a few games.
The cooler I selected is more expensive, but will do a better job. It's still really expensive for an air cooler, but I guess that's just crazy Australia prices.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
