1st build -- opinions & comments appreciated

Hi all-- this is my first attempt at a build. Got a budget of <$1200 from SWMBO :). Primarily a gaming build, but I am also a 3d printer hobbiest and want to do some of my own modeling (Blender, probably). Basically, as most everyone, I want most bang for my buck now, with some room for growth down the line.... Please let me know what you think. Thanks, H

EDIT-- looks like my motherboard selection and some of the prices dropped out... will have to go back in after work. I think the MB was one of the MSI 170's Gaming or Pro. Anyway, let me know what you think... H

This is my suggestion, I reckon you can fit a GTX 1070 into that build.

I changed the case to one I think it pretty sweet, good quality, integrated lighting, good cable management.

You can always add other stuff, I simply took your build and changed some of the parts to stuff that's a bit better or on sale.

EDIT: If you want you can add a 1070, also Wegason's G2 idea is really good. I would recommend adding an HDD for mass storage.

I was constrained by trying to keep an i7 in there for his rendering. On a gaming build I'd step down to the processor you chose and put the saving of $50 to a 1tb or more hard disk drive. I wanted to fit in a gtx 1070 as OP can always spend $50 on a HDD without SWMBO knowing later on

I think we are on the same page of the ground-rules here ... thanks for the tips. H
