Hi, this is my first desktop build ever (been on laptops my whole life ) I play csgo competively, and will be playing at 144hz, is this list good? Anything I could change to make it better? I would like to get it under 1.6k if possible. Edit: also had to mention, i will never be using 2 gpus or sli(idk what its rly called) and i will have to use a wifi adapter, just if u could find a better one, or if it has anything to do with mobo selection

Do you plan on doing anything else on your pc other than CS? It's way overkill if you are only using it for that one purpose.

Cs, h1z1, overwatch, maybe some video editing here and there.. But honestly its not that overkill, cs isnt as easy to run as it used to be, especially when you play at a competitive level

True true. Knowing that you plan to do light video editing, this rig will suit you well. You could go with a GTX 1060 and save yourself some cash, but since it looks like you have the budget your build would be perfectly fine as it is. Nice build!

Only thing I can recommend you to change is getting higher frequency RAM at a lower price. This or This

Yup, the Vengeance LPX is amazing.

Your 1070 will help you output that 100+ frames on your monitor, so keep that. Build looks real solid. Maybe change the SSD to Samsung 850 EVO just for the overall feel of a high quality brand throughout your build?

This is an overclocking heaven. With this build you don't need upgrades for some 3 years.

A suggestion i would have with you current build would be downgrade your ram some. Higher mhz ram overall does not give that much added bonus. Something like Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 would be fine. So you could save another $30.

mediocre power supply? switch to a G2 or GS series, or even a B2 is better then any of the 1 series EVGA PSU"s

He doesn't have one of those in the part list; he has a GQ 650W.
