2017 Single CPU & GPU Build Question

Hi guys,

currently I am rocking my 1440p build

[The Galaxy] pcpartpicker.com/b/MkkTwP

In 2017 i will upgrade my system to a Predator x34 Display and I would like to hit a constant 60fps in all AAA titles. I would like to upgrade the GPU / CPU / MB and RAM. Everything else I would like to keep from my current build.

As the GPU I will take the upcoming GTX 1080 Ti in a hybrid version. But I am pretty uncertain, when it comes to the CPU / Mainboard combo.

Which CPU would you recommend for Gaming and Studio (Lightroom + Premiere Pro)?

Thx for your help!

For now I wouldn't upgrade your other components. Performance gain is minimal.. I would just upgrade the gpu.

Your build looks great! :)

Thx, i really like it so far. I do agree, GPU will be the core upgrade, hence i am waiting for the 1080 Ti Hybrid. I hope Intel will introduce a significant performance upgrade next year....the current line-up was kind of disappointing for me.....

The GPU should give you a significant improvement..

You're welcome and good luck! :)
