Is this good for a gaming pc?

I'm thinking of getting a gaming desktop that has

intel core i7-6700 3.4ghz quad core processor 8gb ram nvidia geforce gtx 970 graphics card

I want to play games like COD, Overwatch, H1Z1, etc. I know there are better rigs out there but this one fits my budget. I just want to know if this rig is good enough to run those games. I know a little about gaming desktops but not an expert on them. I have been a console player for years but want to switch to pc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Yes, this will be fine. Right now i'm running an Intel i3-4170, and GTX 750ti. I run Overwatch, H1Z1, and Call of Duty Infinite Warfare and MW Remastered all above 40-50fps. you will be fine. Granted all the graphics are turned down but if you really want to play those games you will do what you need to do. I have no doubts that you will be able to run those games at 60fps consistently, or at 144fps if you have a 144hz monitor. All and all you will be fine.

The 970 is now an outdated card and you don't need an i7 for gaming. I'd recommend this:

No as for good. There is a lot more to PC's than just those parts so its impossible to say and the GTX 970 is a gen old and has been replaced. It would those games though without issue.
