Almost Ready to Buy! Could Use All The Help I Can Get

Hey y'all. I decided to cannibalize my last PC's parts to try and build something newer that'll last me for a while.

The main requirement I need out of this is a small PC (I travel for business quite a lot, for extended periods of time). Something I can put in the overhead compartment.

Thanks for the help! Any savings ideas are appreciated.

If you're getting a 6600k, you won't be able to overclock it unless you get a motherboard with the z170 chipset.

I would also recommend a newer gpu, but I'm guessing the 290 is from your old pc.

Good idea. Any recommendations for a cheap z170 mobo?

Also yeah, it is. I plan to get a newer GPU mid-2017.
