So this is my first build, and I am kind of a noob at this, so I was just wondering if this is an acceptable gaming build to the point where my parents would be willing to buy me it for Christmas. Please make suggestions if needed.

  • The CM Hyper 212 has had its days. There are better alternatives out now. For example the cryorig m9i, cryorig h7 or scythe Fuma. These all beat the cm hyper 212.

  • You can get a lot faster ram for just a couple more bucks. (http://pcpartpicker.com/product/Yb8H99/gskill-memory-f43000c15d16grk)

  • I recommend getting a more reliable PSU. For a few dollars more with MiR you can get the CX450M

I changed the CPU cooler, memory, storage drives and power supply. The optical drive was removed and the USB version of Windows 10 added.

Thank you both. you both were very helpful and I've narrowed it down to this. If there is still anything I should change just tell me.
